Julia joined the firm in 2000 and has been counsel since March 2008. Her work focuses on regulatory law and compliance work, among others telecommunications law and data protection law. Her work comprises representing clients before authorities and in court proceedings, advising on transactions and auctions, contract negotiations and compliance investigations.
In 1995, Julia completed her legal education at the Universities of Hamburg, Geneva and Heidelberg. She was a research assistant at the Max-Planck Institute for Public International Law and received a doctor of law degree for her thesis on European law. Before joing the firm she worked alongside her thesis for a local law firm in Dresden, representing municipalities and the local government. Julia also was a trainee at the German Chamber of Commerce in Tokyo, at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington and New York City and at the United Nations Environment Programme in Geneva. In 2004, Julia was working for five months in the firm's Brussels office on competition law matters.
She speaks German, English and French.
