Markus Appel has been a principal associate since November 2008 and works in our Berlin office. He is a member of our environment, planning and regulatory (EPR) practice group and specialises in environmental and administrative law.

Markus was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1974. He completed his legal education at the University of Kiel, from where he also earned a doctor of laws degree (Dr iur) and was awarded a master of law (LLM) in environmental, planning and regulatory law by Nottingham Trent University in 2007.

Markus joined the firm in 2004. He speaks German and English.
