Estella is an Associate in the Global Transactions team and part of the data and technology group in Vienna. She advises national and international companies on all questions relating to the implementation of new technologies, data driven business models, data privacy as well as IT related matters. Her areas of expertise include IT - separations, cross-border M&A transactions, commercial collaborations and joint ventures.

In particular, Estella focuses on advising on technology-driven innovation and digital projects as well as projects involving  cloud services, software and legal tech. Further, she assists in negotiating all types of agreements in the digital context and regularly advises international companies to comply with European data legislation.

Having an academic background in business informatics as well (i.e. a bachelor degree in “business informatics”), Estella brings a practical perspective to the table to help clients tackle problems at the intersection of law and technology. 

Prior to joining Freshfields, Estella worked as a IT-project manager at a leading Austrian bank. She was working on database migration projects, including the shift from legacy systems to data architectures.
