As an associate in the global transactions practice group, Estella specializes in advising corporate clients and investments funds on strategic commercial aspects in M&A transactions and joint ventures. Her areas of expertise include IT separations, infrastructure transactions and commercial collaborations with a particular focus on the automotive, telecom and pharmaceutical sectors. She also advises international companies on compliance with emerging digital regulations in the EU.
Having an academic background in business informatics as well, Estella further works at the intersection of law and technology at the Freshfields Lab. As part of an interdisciplinary team of legal professionals, machine learning engineers and software developers, she delivers innovative solutions to corporate clients.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Estella worked as an IT-project manager at a leading Austrian bank. She has worked on database migration projects, including the shift from legacy systems to data architectures.
Estella is fluent in English, French and German.
- Advising Global Communication Infrastructures in entering a 50/50 joint venture with Tele2, thereby creating the first pan-Baltic tower company and in entering in MSAs for the provision of passive infrastructure services in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
- Advising Phoenix Towers International in acquiring Infracos (a tower company held by Bouygues Telecom and SFR) comprising around 3700 sites and entering into two MSAs for the provision of passive infrastructure services with SFR and Bouygues.
- Advising Spectris on the acquisition of Piezocryst Advanced Sensorics, a leading global supplier of precision instruments and controls.
- Advising Volkswagen on the set-up and implementation of a group-wide compliance project for achieving compliance with European digital regulations.
- Advising Omantel on the USD 500M sale of its towers network infrastructure and subsequent servicing of passive infrastructure by Helios Towers.
