Caroline Doherty de Novoa

Caroline Doherty de Novoa is Co-Chief Knowledge Officer for the firm.

Based in London, she leads a team of knowledge lawyers and information specialists across regions.

Responsible for the knowledge strategy for the firm, she leads the team in developing knowledge products and training for the firm’s lawyers and its clients, and analysing and responding to legal and market developments. She also writes and contributes to thought leadership on topical issues and is a member of industry working groups.

Caroline’s main areas of expertise are international regulatory and economic crime investigations, compliance and risk management, business and human rights, and cross-border dispute resolution. Prior to joining Freshfields, Caroline was a senior associate at Clifford Chance in London, focusing on international arbitration and investigations.

Caroline speaks English and Spanish.
