Svenja advises clients on all aspects of European, German and international competition and antitrust law, with a special focus on cartels, follow-on litigation, and antitrust compliance audits.
In recent years, Svenja has represented clients in cartel investigations undertaken by the European Commission and the German Federal Competition Office. She has extensive experience in conducting antitrust compliance audits at a global and a national level.
Further, Svenja regularly advises clients on multi-jurisdictional merger control cases, representing them before both the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office, as well as coordinating local filings under the applicable merger and foreign direct investment regimes in other jurisdictions.
Svenja’s recent work includes projects industrial clients in sectors such as logistics, automotive and wholesale trade, as well as private capital clients.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Svenja has worked at Winter & Rohnke, a renowned law firm representing clients in proceedings before the German Federal Supreme Court.
Svenja speaks German and English.
