James advises clients on complex and cross-border commercial litigation proceedings and multi-jurisdictional investigations. He also has an expertise in public law and judicial review.
James' recent commercial litigation experience includes several cases involving multi-jurisdiction civil and arbitral proceedings concerning assets worth several billion $US - with cases in the UK, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the Middle East, Nigeria and various jurisdictions in the Caribbean.
James has also managed internal and regulatory investigations (and spin-off litigation) for clients in the healthcare, transport and technology sectors, including a number of cross-border corruption/compliance investigations.
James' public law experience includes several landmark judicial review cases in the nuclear, telecoms and transport sectors, as well as two separate public international law arbitrations in the Hague.
Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and Australia.
James has degrees in both law and science (pharmacology and toxicology) from Monash University (Australia).
