Toby is an associate in our Abu Dhabi office.

Toby is a dedicated investment funds lawyer with experience acting for both sponsors and investors across the establishment, fundraising, and operation of private funds across multiple jurisdictional regimes. Toby regularly advises institutional investors in connection with their private fund investments and co-investments across a range of asset classes. He also has extensive experience advising investment fund houses through the full life-cycle of private fund structures.

Prior to joining Freshfields, Toby completed his training contract at a Magic Circle law firm in London, and then qualified into their private funds practice. During his time there, Toby was seconded on two occasions to the legal team of Climate Asset Management, a leading sustainability-focused asset management company, established as a joint venture between HSBC Asset Management and Pollination.
