Lloyd is a Knowledge Lawyer in the Freshfields Global Transactions Knowledge Team. Lloyd has a particular focus on the UK’s exit from the EU (Brexit) and Trade law.
Since the June 2016 referendum in which the UK voted to leave the EU, Lloyd has been heavily involved in the Firm's response to Brexit and sat on the Firm's Brexit Task Force.
Lloyd has helped lead the design and implementation of the new City Consortium Solicitor Training Programme – comprising SQE preparation and a bespoke City Consortium Plus Programme – which will be offered to all Freshfields trainee associates and marks the biggest overhaul in solicitor qualification in nearly 30 years.
Lloyd is a trained Mental Health First Aider and is the founder and Co-Chair of the Freshfields UK Mental Health Affinity Network – the employee-led network dedicated to mental health and wellbeing. He has contributed to many publications on the topic of mental health and the legal profession including The Telegraph, The Lawyer and Legal Cheek. He has also appeared in numerous podcasts, webinars and events speaking about mental health and the legal profession. Lloyd is also a Champion of the legal mental health charity LawCare.
Lloyd joined Freshfields in February 2013 where he trained and qualified in the Corporate M&A team before becoming a Knowledge Lawyer.
