Thijs is a senior associate in our global transactions practice, acting for (international) corporates, private equity firms and financial sponsors.
He regularly advises on domestic and cross-border corporate M&A and real estate transactions, joint ventures and governance aspects.
Before rejoining Freshfields, Thijs was a Portfolio Manager and Legal Counsel EMEA at CBRE Investment Management, managing European direct real estate portfolios and handling legal matters for several funds across the Netherlands and Europe.
Thijs began his career at Freshfields in 2012.
