Marco is a principal associate in the dispute resolution department of our firm's Amsterdam office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, mass claims and sustainability.
Marco is a very experienced litigator for national and international clients in both domestic and multijurisdictional commercial disputes (in particular mass claims) before the Dutch Courts (including appellate litigation). He also regularly advises various international clients on ESG matters and in relation to business & human rights. Marco also advises on the application and interpretation of international economic sanctions, such as those against Iran and Russia.
Advising an international automotive manufacturer on the defence of mass claims in relation to diesel engine emissions before the Dutch District Courts and the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
Acting for one of the largest global technology companies in relation to a collective action before the Dutch Courts.
Advising a major energy company on a mass claim before the Dutch Courts in relation to an environmental claim.
Defending product liability claims, allegedly caused by defective consumer and medical products, in (collective) civil proceedings.
Advising clients across the extractive, industrial, power, transport and financial sectors in relation to international climate change litigation and human rights risks.
