Roshana is an associate in our dispute resolution team, acting on complex competition, commercial and public law disputes and regulatory investigations. She is based in our London office.
Roshana acts for clients in the financial services, telecommunications and industrial sectors in relation to cartel investigations and follow-on damages litigation before the English High Court and UK Competition Appeal Tribunal. She also co-ordinates the multi-jurisdictional defence of claims and investigations arising from the same conduct which are brought in various jurisdictions across the world. Her background in economics allows her to bring a unique perspective to antitrust litigation.
Roshana has an active pro bono practice, having advised NGOs in relation to anti-trafficking, asylum and universal jurisdiction issues.
Roshana qualified as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand. Prior to joining Freshfields, she worked at New Zealand's largest litigation firm, Meredith Connell, where she acted for the New Zealand Commerce Commission, Commissioner of Police and conducted jury trials on behalf of the Crown.

- Acting for a multinational automotive manufacturer in relation to regulatory issues and civil proceedings arising out of allegations concerning the affected vehicles’ emissions.
- Acting for Volvo/Renault Trucks in the co-ordination of its Europe-wide defence of claims arising from the European Commission’s decision relating to the trucks industry.
- Advising BT on competition and regulatory matters.
- Acting pro bono for the Anti-trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit in an intervention before the Court of Appeal.
