Freshfields advises Shui On Land Ltd. on US$300m green bond

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised Shui On Land Limited ('the Company'), a leading Hong Kong-listed property developer, on the issuance of US$300m 5.75 percent senior notes due 2023 ('the Notes') by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shui On Development (Holding) Limited. The Notes were issued as "Green Bonds" under the Company’s green finance framework  ('Green Finance Framework'), which was developed by the Company by reference to the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) Green Bond Principles 2018, and were guaranteed by the Company. The net proceeds from the issuance will be used for funding or refinancing, in full or in part, of the eligible projects undertaken by the Company in accordance with its Green Finance Framework.
