Freshfields advises One Equity Partners on its acquisition of Fortaco Group
Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) advised One Equity Partners, a leading private equity investment firm, on its acquisition of Fortaco Group from Nordic small-cap investor Capman. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the second half of 2022.
Fortaco is a leading strategic partner to the heavy off-highway equipment and marine industries offering technology, vehicle cabins, steel fabrications, and assemblies to global OEMs. Headquartered in Vantaa, Finland, Fortaco has factories across seven European countries, in addition to a joint venture with Tata AutoComp in India.
The Freshfields team advising on the transaction was led by Partner Arend von Riegen and Principal Associate Steffen Kleefass. They were supported by Associates David Anschütz and Simon Wizemann (all Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt). Competition advice was rendered by Partner Thomas Wessely, Principal Associate Marta Janek, Associate Jonas Levermann and Marta Powolny (all Brussels).
